| November 2005 - Boon's Bounty By the last morning of our first North Dakota pheasant hunt, Boon really got into the groove of pinning roosters for the gun. These five gorgeous "ditch parrots" were taken over him on a single push through a 300-yard dry cattail slough. He slammed point time after time and with each one, we got single, double or triple rooster rises. It was dang near magical and it was the crowning moment on a great hunting trip. North Dakota certainly captured our hearts and minds at that point. |
