| October 2007 - Five Species It was a veritable potpourri of ducks on one of the many potholes we hunted near Cando. Boon did a great job fetching up a mess of ducks on this morning hunt. The five different species that made up my bag included a drake Mallard, a drake Hooded Merganser, a hen Blue-Winged Teal, a hen Gadwall, and a drake Redhead. Let me tell ya... I made a fantastic batch of duck gumbo that night! |
